Salary & Stipend Details
Selected candidates will undergo one year of training. During this period, they are provided with a generous stipend and other allowances. Upon successful completion, they are appointed as Scientific Officer 'C'.

Selection Process
The NPCIL Selection Process 2026 is highly competitive and primarily focuses on the technical expertise of the candidate evidenced by GATE scores and Interview performance.
- Shortlisting: Based on valid GATE 2024/2025/2026 Scores in a 1:12 ratio (tentative).
- Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will appear for a technical and personal interview.
- Final Merit List: Prepared based on 100% weightage given to the Personal Interview performance. GATE score is used only for shortlisting.
- Medical Examination: Final verification of fitness for the post.
