Qualification
- Senior Assistant (Electronics): Diploma in Electronics/ Telecommunication/ Radio Engineering with 2 years experience.
- Junior Assistant (HR): Graduation degree from a recognized university.
- Junior Assistant (Fire Services): 10th Pass + 3 years Diploma (Mechanical/Auto/Fire) OR 12th Pass (Regular) + Valid Driving License.
Full Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must ensure they meet the domicile requirement of the North Eastern states. For Junior Assistant (Fire Services), specific physical standards and driving license requirements (LMV/HMV) are mandatory to qualify for the post.

Physical Test Criteria (Fire Services Only)
The Physical Endurance Test (PET) is qualifying in nature for the Junior Assistant (Fire Services) post. Candidates must meet the height, chest, and weight standards before participating in the endurance tests like running and climbing.

Salary Structure
Selected candidates will receive competitive pay scales as per the IDA pattern. In addition to basic pay, they are entitled to Dearness Allowance, HRA, CPF, Gratuity, and Medical benefits as per AAI rules.

Selection Process
The selection process for AAI NER Recruitment consists of multiple stages including a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by specific skill tests for different posts. Merit is purely based on CBT performance.
- Stage 1: Online Computer Based Test (CBT).
- Stage 2: Computer Literacy Test (For HR post) / Physical Endurance Test & Driving Test (For Fire Services).
- Stage 3: Document Verification (DV).
- Stage 4: Medical Examination.
Exam Pattern
The AAI NER CBT Exam will be for a duration of 2 hours. There is no negative marking for wrong answers. The question paper will focus on technical subjects and general aptitude.
