Qualification

  • Scientific Assistant: Diploma in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Inst.) or B.Sc (Physics/Chemistry/Maths) with 60% marks.
  • ST/Technician (Cat-II): 10th with 50% in Science/Maths + ITI Certificate in relevant trade.
  • Assistant Grade 1: Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with minimum 50% marks.
  • X-Ray Technician: 12th Science (60%) + Medical Radiography Trade Certificate + 2 Years Exp.

Salary Structure

Selection Process

The NPCIL selection process varies by post and generally involves an Online Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by either an Interview or a Skill Test.

  • For Scientific Assistant: Written Examination (CBT) + Personal Interview (50:50 weightage).
  • For ST/Technician & X-Ray Tech: Stage 1 (Preliminary Test) + Stage 2 (Advanced Test) + Skill Test/Document Verification.
  • For Assistant Grade 1: Preliminary Test + Advanced Test + Skill Test (Typing & Computer Proficiency).
  • Final Merit: Based on performance in Advanced Test/Interview as applicable.
