Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has released the official Notification for the State Eligibility Test (SET) 2025 for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professor, Librarian, and Sports Officer in MP colleges and universities. The exam will be conducted in offline OMR mode on 11 January 2026. Candidates with a postgraduate degree (final year students also eligible) can apply online from 25 October to 20 November 2025. Late fee windows are available till 10 days before the exam. There is no age limit for appearing in the exam.

Qualification
- Master’s Degree (Postgraduate) with at least:
- 55% marks for UR/OBC (Creamy Layer)/EWS candidates
- 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/PwD (MP Domicile only)
- Final year PG students can apply provisionally
- Degree must be from a UGC-recognized university
- Foreign degrees must be certified equivalent by AIU, New Delhi
- Ph.D. holders who completed PG before 19 Sept 1991 get 5% relaxation
Full Eligibility
Candidates applying for MP SET 2025 must possess a Master’s Degree from a UGC-recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks for General/OBC (Creamy Layer)/EWS categories and 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/PwD (MP domicile only). Selection Process
The MP SET 2025 selection process is based solely on an offline OMR-based written examination conducted in a single session. Candidates must appear for two papers—a General Aptitude Paper and a Subject-specific Paper. There is no interview or further stage after the written test. Final eligibility is determined based on cut-off marks and document verification.

Exam Pattern
The MP SET 2025 exam pattern consists of two objective-type papers conducted in a single 3-hour session. Paper I tests teaching and research aptitude with 50 compulsory questions, while Paper II is subject-specific with 100 compulsory questions. Each question carries 2 marks, and there is no negative marking.
