Short Information: The Indian Air Force has released a Notification inviting online applications from eligible Indian and Gorkha (Nepalese subjects) male candidates for recruitment as Airmen in Group 'Y' (Non-Technical) Medical Assistant Trade under Intake 02/2025. Registration starts from 11 July 2025 and will continue till 31 July 2025. Candidates with 10+2 qualifications and Diploma/B.Sc in Pharmacy are eligible. The selection will include online tests, physical fitness, adaptability tests and medical examinations. Check detailed eligibility, age limit and application process below.
Exam Date: The online examination for Indian Air Force Group Y Medical Assistant Trade under Airmen Intake 02/2025 will commence from 25 September 2025 onwards. Eligible candidates will receive their Phase-I admit cards via registered email 48–72 hours before the exam date. Exact city and test timing details will be mentioned in the admit card. Candidates must carry their AADHAAR card and printed admit card to the test center.

IAF Medical Assistant Recruitment 2025: Full Eligibility
Eligible candidates must be Indian or Gorkha (a subject of Nepal) male citizens. For the Medical Assistant Trade, applicants must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English or hold a Diploma/B.Sc in Pharmacy with valid registration. Age criteria differ based on marital status and qualification. IAF Medical Assistant Recruitment 2025: Salary
Selected candidates for the Medical Assistant Trade in the Indian Air Force will receive a monthly stipend of ₹14,600/- during training. Upon successful completion, the initial gross salary rises to ₹26,900/- per month including Military Service Pay. Additional allowances such as Dearness, HRA, Transport and Education allowances will also be provided as per prevailing government norms. Career progression and further skill development may lead to higher pay scales over time.

IAF Medical Assistant Recruitment 2025: Selection Process
The selection process for Indian Air Force Group Y Medical Assistant Trade (Airmen Intake 02/2026) is conducted in three phases: Online Test, Physical Fitness & Adaptability Tests and Medical Examination. IAF Medical Assistant Recruitment 2025: Exam Pattern
The Indian Air Force Group Y Medical Assistant Trade examination under Airmen Intake 02/2026 will be conducted online in Phase-I. It includes two subjects—English and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA). The paper is objective type and bilingual (except English). The duration is 45 minutes and candidates must qualify each subject separately. There is negative marking for wrong answers and scores may be normalized across shifts.
