The selection for NFR Apprentice Recruitment 2026 is purely merit-based, focusing on academic performance. There will be no written examination for these posts.

- The merit list will be calculated based on the percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation (Class 10) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks, combined with ITI marks in the relevant trade.
- For Medical Laboratory Technician posts, the merit list will be based on marks obtained in Matriculation (50% aggregate) + 12th Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology).
- In case of equal marks, the older candidate in age will be ranked higher. If dates of birth are also same, the candidate who passed matriculation earlier will be considered first.
- Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates, typically 1.5 times the number of vacancies, will be called for Document Verification.
- Medical Certificate: Candidates must submit a medical certificate from a Government authorized Doctor (Gaz.) during document verification.
- Final selection is based on the merit list, preference of unit/trade, and successful document verification.
