- In addition to Basic Pay, candidates will receive DA, HRA, CCA, and other allowances as per Bank rules.
- One advance increment (maximum two) may be granted for prior completed years of service as an Officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank, subject to matching job profile.
- Selected candidates will undergo a probation period of 2 years of active service.
- A Financial Service Indemnity Bond of ₹2,00,000/- must be executed for a minimum of 3 years of service.
Selection Process
The IOB Local Bank Officer (LBO) selection process involves multiple stages designed to assess candidates' aptitude, knowledge, and language proficiency, ensuring only the most suitable individuals are chosen for these critical banking roles.
- Phase I: Online Examination: Candidates will first appear for an Online Objective Type Examination.
- Phase II: Language Proficiency Test (LPT): Shortlisted candidates who have not studied the applied state's local language in Std. X or Std. XII must qualify an LPT. Failure to qualify will lead to disqualification.
- Phase III: Personal Interview: Candidates qualifying the Online Examination and LPT (if applicable) will be called for a Personal Interview.
- Final Selection: The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined scores of the Online Examination and Personal Interview, with a weightage ratio of 80:20 respectively, prepared state-wise and category-wise.

The IOB Local Bank Officer (LBO) Online Examination is a comprehensive assessment covering Reasoning, Computer Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, Data Analysis, Interpretation, and English Knowledge, with a total duration of 3 hours.
