Qualification
- Asst. Foreman (Electrical): Diploma in Electrical Engineering (3 Years) or Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering approved by AICTE.
- Technician (Electrician): Matriculate (10th) + ITI (2 years) in Electrician Trade (NCVT/SCVT) + 1 year training/experience + Valid LT permit for Mines/440-550 Volts.
Full Eligibility
Candidates must possess the minimum technical qualifications and statutory permits required for mining operations. For the Assistant Foreman post, a regular diploma or degree is mandatory, while Technicians require ITI certification and practical experience.

Physical Test Criteria
Candidates must be medically fit as per the Initial Medical Examination (IME) standards. A minimum height of 60 inches is required, except for specific relaxation for Dwarfism in Assistant Foreman posts.

Salary Structure
The selected candidates will be placed under the NCWA-XI pay scale. Assistant Foremen receive a monthly consolidated pay, while Technicians are paid on a daily rate basis with applicable allowances.

- Allowances: In addition to basic pay, selected candidates are entitled to DA, HRA, and other fringe benefits as per National Coal Wage Agreement-XI.
- Career Growth: Assistant Foremen can progress to T&S Gr-B upon acquiring Electrical Supervisorship Certificates.
- Regularization: Technicians will be regularized as Electrician Cat-IV after 1 year of successful training.
Selection Process
The selection for MCL recruitment is purely based on merit in the CBT. There is no personal interview conducted for these technical non-executive positions.

- Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates (1:3 ratio) will be called for scrutiny.

Job Profile & Responsibility
Selected candidates will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of electrical equipment within mining areas. This includes both Underground and Opencast mines of MCL subsidiaries.
- Assistant Foreman: Supervision of electrical maintenance teams, ensuring safety protocols in mines, and technical reporting.
- Technician: Repairing electrical faults, installing mining machinery circuits, and conducting routine equipment inspections.
- Environment: Work involves shifts in coal mining projects located in Odisha.
- Transfer: Employees are liable to be transferred to any subsidiary of Coal India Limited based on requirement.
