Qualification
- Laboratory Assistant (Engineering): Three-year Diploma in respective branch (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Chemical, Textile, Printing, Ceramics, Automobile) from an AICTE recognized institute.
- Laboratory Assistant (Science): Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc) in Physics, Chemistry, or Mathematics from a recognized university.
Full Eligibility
Candidates must possess the mandatory educational qualification by the last date of application. For reservation benefits, candidates must be permanent residents of Bihar State and upload valid category certificates.

Salary
The selected candidates for the post of Laboratory Assistant will be placed in Pay Level-6 of the Bihar state pay matrix, offering a handsome entry pay and allowances.

- In addition to basic pay, employees are entitled to DA, HRA, and Medical Allowances.
- Initial posting will be in Patna or other districts of Bihar in Technical Institutions.
Selection Process
The selection process is strictly based on the merit list prepared using written examination marks and work experience weightage for contractual employees.
- Written Examination (CBT): 75% weightage (Marks obtained out of 100 will be multiplied by 0.75).
- Experience Weightage: Maximum 25 Marks (5 marks per year for contractual service in Bihar Govt Engineering/Polytechnic colleges).
- Document Verification: Qualifying candidates will be called for DV.
- Medical Examination: Final health check-up before joining.

The written examination will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
