Qualification

  • Trade Apprentice (Ex-ITI): Passed AITT (CTS) and possess NTC issued by NCVT in respective trades.
  • Trade Apprentice (Fresher): Passed Class 10th Standard / Madhyamik from a recognized Board.
  • Graduate Apprentice: Degree in Engineering or Technology (B.E/B.Tech) in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science/IT, or Civil.
  • Technician Apprentice: Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunication, or Civil.

Full Eligibility

Candidates applying for GRSE Apprentice 2026 must ensure they have not previously undergone apprenticeship training. Graduate and Technician applicants must have passed their qualifying exam in 2023, 2024, or 2025. Candidates with work experience of one year or more are not eligible for this engagement.

Salary (Stipend)

Selected candidates will receive a monthly consolidated stipend as per the Apprenticeship Act. The stipend amount varies based on the post and location of training (Kolkata or Ranchi). No other allowances or benefits will be provided during the 12-month training period.

Selection Process

The GRSE selection process is strictly based on academic merit. There is no written exam or interview for these apprentice positions. Candidates are ranked based on their performance in the qualifying examination required for each respective trade or discipline.

  • Merit List Preparation: Based on marks obtained in ITI, Degree, Diploma, or 10th standard.
  • Tie-Breaking: If marks are tied, Seniority in Age (older candidate) is preferred.
  • Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce original certificates.
  • Medical Examination: Candidates must be declared Medically Fit by the GRSE Medical Officer.
  • Police Verification: Mandatory submission of Police Verification Report at the time of joining.
