The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have released the Centralised Employment Notification CEN 02/2025 for the recruitment of Technician Grade-I Signal and various Technician Grade-III posts. A total of 6238 Vacancies are announced across multiple zones. Interested candidates can apply online from 28 June 2025 to 28 July 2025. Qualification
- Technician Grade-I Signal: BE/B.Tech, Engineering Diploma or B.Sc. in Engineering.
- Technician Grade-III (Various Trades): 10th + ITI / Act Apprenticeship in relevant trade. Or 12th Pass With PCM Subjects.

RRB Technician Recruitment 2025 Selection Process
- Computer Based Test (CBT): Separate CBT will be conducted for each pay level (Level 5 and Level 2).
- Shortlisting: Based on marks secured in CBT, candidates will be shortlisted in 1:1 ratio for Document Verification.
- Document Verification (DV): Verification of original certificates for eligibility, qualification, reservation, etc.
- Medical Examination (ME): Candidates must qualify the medical fitness test conducted by Railway authorities as per post requirement.
- Final Selection: Based on merit in CBT, medical fitness, document verification and availability of vacancies.

RRB Technician Recruitment 2025 How To Apply
- Visit the official RRB website corresponding to your chosen zone (see list in the notification).
- Click on the link for CEN 02/2025 - Technician Recruitment.
- If you're a new user, click on “Create an Account” and complete Aadhaar/DigiLocker authentication (recommended but optional).
- Fill in all required details like name, father’s name, DOB, mobile number, email ID, etc. as per 10th certificate.
- Upload your live photograph and signature as per specified format.
- Select your desired RRB zone and post preferences (only one RRB per pay level).
- Enter educational qualification and other eligibility details carefully.
- Pay the applicable examination fee via online mode (Net Banking / UPI / Cards).
- Verify all entries and submit your application. Download and print the final confirmation page for reference.

Q1. What is the last date to apply for RRB Technician Recruitment 2025?
The last date to submit online application is 28 July 2025 (11:59 PM).
Q2. How many vacancies are announced in CEN 02/2025?
A total of 6238 vacancies are announced, including 183 for Technician Grade-I Signal and 6055 for various Technician Grade-III posts.
Q3. Can I apply for both Technician Grade-I and Grade-III posts?
Yes, but you must submit separate applications (and pay fees separately) for each pay level. One RRB per pay level is allowed.
Q4. What is the age limit for Technician posts?
- Technician Grade-I: 18 to 33 years
- Technician Grade-III: 18 to 30 years
Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories.
Q5. Will there be any refund of application fee?
Yes. ₹400 (for general/OBC) and full ₹250 (for reserved category) will be refunded after appearing in the CBT.
