The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has announced the commencement of online applications for the State Forest Service Examination (SFSE) Mains 2026. Candidates who qualified the Prelims exam can now apply for the Mains exam from 24 July 2026 to 23 August 2026. The Mains examination is scheduled for 27 September 2026. Qualification

Full Eligibility

Candidates must possess a Graduate degree in relevant technical or science fields by the last date of application. For MP Residents, employment registration is required at the time of interview, while Other State candidates are exempt from this requirement.

Salary

The Salary Structure for MP State Forest Service officers is as per the 7th Pay Commission. The posts are Gazetted Class-II (Permanent) positions with additional allowances.

  • The Preliminary Exam is a screening test consisting of Objective Type (MCQ) questions.
  • Unlike the State Service, the MPPSC SFS Merit List for Prelims is calculated using marks from both Paper I and Paper II.
  • The Main Examination will consist of two separate papers conducted on the same day.
  • There is a Negative Marking of 1 mark for every incorrect answer in the Main Examination (3 marks for correct, -1 for wrong).
  • The Interview Stage carries 50 Marks, which are added to the Main exam scores for the final selection.
  • Candidates must secure a minimum qualifying score of 40% (30% for SC/ST/OBC) in each paper.
