- Senior Scientific Assistant: B.E/B.Tech or Master's Degree in CSE/ECE/IT/Physics/Forensic Science.
- Laboratory Assistant: Bachelor's Degree in Science (Physics/Maths/Botany/Zoology/Microbiology/Biotech/Chemistry/Forensic Science, etc.).

Salary Structure
The NFSU Salary Structure follows the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. Selected candidates will receive a competitive Pay Scale along with applicable allowances like HRA, DA, and TA. The Pay Level ranges from Level 5 for Laboratory Assistants to Level 10 for Senior Scientific Officers, ensuring a lucrative career in forensic sciences.

Selection Process
The NFSU Selection Process is designed to test both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise. For Senior Positions, the focus is on Interview performance, whereas for Junior and Assistant posts, the selection is primarily based on Written Examination merit.
- For Sr. No. 01 & 02: Selection based on Interview and overall academic/experience record.
- For Sr. No. 03 to 07: Selection based on the Merit of Marks obtained in the Written Test.
- Screening/Shortlisting: The University may conduct a Screening Test to shortlist candidates for the final stage.
- Document Verification: Physical verification of Original Documents and certificates.
- Medical Examination: Final selected candidates must produce a Medical Fitness Certificate.
Exam Pattern
The NFSU Exam Pattern usually consists of a Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) based test. For technical posts, the paper is divided into Core Subject Knowledge and General Aptitude. Candidates must score high in the Written Merit to secure their position.
