Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official notification for Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Examination 2025. Interested candidates with stenography skills can apply online from 6th June 2025 to 26th June 2025 through the SSC portal. A total of 261 tentative vacancies are available across various central government ministries and departments. The exam will be held in computer-based mode from 6th August to 11th August 2025.

SSC Stenographer 2025 Selection Process
- Computer Based Examination (CBT) – Objective type paper with multiple-choice questions
- Skill Test in Stenography – Dictation & transcription in English or Hindi
- Document Verification – Verification of educational certificates and category documents
- Medical Examination – As per SSC and BRO standards (if applicable)
- Final Merit List – Based on CBT scores and qualifying skill test
Note: Skill test is qualifying in nature. Final selection depends on CBT marks and post preference.
