SSC CHSL 2025 Selection Process

  • Tier-I: Computer Based Examination (Objective Type)
  • Tier-II: Computer Based Examination (Objective + Skill/Typing Test)
  • Skill/Typing Test: Qualifying in nature (held in Tier-II Session-II)
  • Document Verification: Conducted by User Departments
  • Medical Examination: Only for posts with physical standards (e.g. LDC in BRO)

Note: Final selection will be based on overall performance in Tier-II (Section-I and II) and post preferences submitted by the candidate. Skill/Typing Tests are mandatory but qualifying in nature.

1. What is the last date to apply for SSC CHSL 2025?

The last date for online application submission is 18th July 2025 till 11:00 PM.

2. What is the educational qualification for SSC CHSL posts?

For LDC, JSA and most DEO posts: 12th pass in any stream.
For DEO in selected departments: 12th pass with Science and Mathematics.

3. Is there any age relaxation for reserved categories?

Yes. Age relaxation is provided as per government norms: 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, 10 to 15 years for PwBD depending on category, etc.

4. Will there be negative marking in the exam?

Yes. Tier-I has a penalty of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer. Tier-II (Sections I–III) has 1 mark negative marking per wrong answer.

5. Can I apply if I am appearing in 12th Class exams?

Yes, but you must pass the qualifying examination on or before 01 January 2026.

6. Is there any physical test in SSC CHSL?

Only for LDC post in BRO. One Mile Run within 10 minutes is required. Additional physical and medical standards also apply for BRO vacancies.

7. How can I correct errors in my application form?

Use the correction window from 23rd July to 24th July 2025. A correction fee of ₹200 (first time) or ₹500 (second time) will apply.
