Salary Structure

The Salary and Allowances for Indian Army Officers are highly competitive. Upon commissioning, a Lieutenant starts at Pay Level 10. During the 49-week training period, cadets receive a fixed stipend.

Selection Process

The Indian Army NCC Special Entry Selection Process does not involve any written exam like CDS or AFCAT. Candidates are shortlisted directly based on their academic performance.

  • Shortlisting of Applications: Shortlisting is based on the Graduation Percentage and bonus marks awarded for NCC Performance (up to 100 bonus marks).
  • SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a 5-day Services Selection Board (SSB) interview at Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Jalandhar.
  • Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB will undergo a medical examination.
  • Final Merit List: Prepared based on marks obtained in the SSB interview and medical fitness.
