Qualification
- Graduation: Degree from a recognized University with minimum 50% aggregate marks (taking into account marks of all years).
- NCC Certificate: Must have served for minimum two/three years in Senior Division/Wg of NCC and obtained minimum 'B' Grade in 'C' Certificate Exam.
- Wards of Battle Casualties: Degree with 50% marks (NCC 'C' certificate not required for this category).
Full Eligibility
Candidates must be unmarried male citizens of India or subjects of Nepal. Final year students are also eligible to apply, provided they have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the first two/three years of their degree and will complete their graduation before 01 October 2026. NCC 'C' Certificate holders must ensure their certificate is valid and they meet the required grade criteria.

Physical Test Criteria

Salary Structure
The Salary and Allowances for Indian Army Officers are highly competitive. Upon commissioning, a Lieutenant starts at Pay Level 10. During the 49-week training period, cadets receive a fixed stipend.

- Stipend: Rs. 56,100/- per month during the entire duration of training at OTA Chennai.
- Military Service Pay (MSP): Rs. 15,500/- p.m. fixed (from Lieutenant to Brigadier).
- Allowances: Dearness Allowance, Kit Maintenance, HRA, Transport Allowance, and more.
- CTC: Approximately Rs. 17-18 Lakh per annum post-commissioning.
Selection Process
The Indian Army NCC Special Entry Selection Process does not involve any written exam like CDS or AFCAT. Candidates are shortlisted directly based on their academic performance.
- Shortlisting of Applications: Shortlisting is based on the Graduation Percentage and bonus marks awarded for NCC Performance (up to 100 bonus marks).
- SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a 5-day Services Selection Board (SSB) interview at Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Jalandhar.
- Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB will undergo a medical examination.
- Final Merit List: Prepared based on marks obtained in the SSB interview and medical fitness.
Exam Pattern (Bonus Marks System)
Instead of a traditional Exam Pattern, this entry uses a Bonus Marks System to shortlist candidates for the SSB Interview. A total of 100 marks are considered for shortlisting.
