Qualification
- Stenographer Grade-II: 12th Class pass or equivalent and must qualify Skill Test.
- Tax Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university and Data Entry speed of 8000 key depressions per hour.
- Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): 10th Class (Matriculation) pass or equivalent.
Full Eligibility & Sports Criteria
Candidates must be Indian citizens and fulfill the Sports Achievement criteria. Participation and medals in International, National, Inter-University, or School Games are required. Achievements will be considered up to 07 January 2026 only.

Salary Structure
The selected candidates will be placed in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix with attractive allowances as per Central Government rules. The salary varies depending on the pay level of the post.

Selection Process
The selection is primarily based on Sports Merits. Candidates will be shortlisted according to the Order of Preference defined by DoPT guidelines. Shortlisted candidates for specific posts must clear technical skill tests.

- Skill Test for Stenographer (Dictation & Transcription).
- Data Entry Skill Test for Tax Assistant (8000 KDPH).
- Document Verification of original certificates.
- Medical Examination and Police Verification.
- Clearance of Doping Tests (WADA/NADA).

Job Profile & Responsibility
Selected candidates will be posted within the Mumbai Region. They are required to perform administrative duties while maintaining their Sporting Excellence as per Departmental guidelines.
- Stenographer: Managing dictations, drafting letters, and assisting senior officers.
- Tax Assistant: Data entry, clerical support in tax assessment, and file management.
- MTS: General office maintenance, record keeping, and assisting in day-to-day operations.
- Sports Duty: Representing the Income Tax Department in various sports tournaments.
