  • DEO Apprentice: 12th Pass (Skill Certificate required for "Skilled" category).

Full Eligibility Details

Candidates must ensure they possess the Regular Full-Time Qualification in the relevant discipline. Those who have already undergone apprenticeship or have job experience of one year or more are not eligible. The maximum time gap after qualifying is 5 years as of 31 December 2025.

IOCL Apprentice Stipend and Salary Structure

Selected candidates for the IOCL Apprentice Recruitment will receive a monthly stipend as per the Apprentices Act. In addition to the base amount, Indian Oil provides an extra Rs 2500 for miscellaneous expenses to support the trainees during their 12-month training period.

Selection Process

The IOCL Selection Process for Apprentices is strictly merit-based. There is no written test or interview conducted for these posts. Selection is determined by the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examinations like ITI, Diploma, or Graduation.

  • Shortlisting: Preparation of Merit List based on marks secured in the prescribed qualification.
  • Tie-Breaking: If marks are equal, the older candidate is preferred; if still tied, Matriculation marks are considered.
  • Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce original certificates for verification.
  • Medical Fitness: Candidates must clear the Pre-engagement medical fitness test as per Indian Oil standards.
  • Offer of Engagement: Final Engagement Letter is issued to suitable candidates.
