Salary / Pay Scale

ESIC Andheri offers attractive monthly emoluments for these contractual positions, ranging from Rs. 1,35,000/- to Rs. 2,81,704/-, inclusive of various allowances as per 7th CPC norms.

• The engagement for Teaching Faculty and Senior Residents is initially for one year, extendable up to three years.
• For Junior Residents, the engagement is for a period of one year only.
• No private practice is allowed after joining.

Selection Process

The selection for these posts will primarily be based on academic credentials and performance in the walk-in interview. A screening test may be conducted for certain posts if candidate turnout is high.

• Candidates will be selected based on their acquired academic credentials.
• Performance in the interview before the selection board is a key factor.
• For Senior Resident (Dental) and Junior Resident posts, if turnout exceeds 30 candidates, a screening test (multiple-choice questions in concerned discipline and ESIC-related topics) may be conducted.
• A maximum of three times the candidates per vacancy will be shortlisted for the interview based on the screening test merit.
• The interview performance will be the sole criterion for final selection.
• Results will be displayed on the official ESIC website.

Job Profile & Responsibility

The roles at ESIC Medical College and Hospital Andheri involve a blend of teaching, patient care, and research. Faculty positions (Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor) are primarily responsible for academic instruction, clinical supervision, and contributing to medical advancements. Senior and Junior Residents focus on direct patient management, diagnostic procedures, and assisting in various medical and surgical departments under supervision.

• Teaching Faculty (Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor): Responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, curriculum development, conducting examinations, and mentoring students.
• Engaging in clinical duties, patient diagnosis, treatment, and management within their respective departments.
• Contributing to medical research, publications, and academic conferences.
• Senior Resident: Involved in advanced patient care, managing complex cases, supervising junior staff, and participating in departmental academic activities.
• Performing specialized procedures and assisting consultants in various clinical settings.
• Junior Resident: Providing primary patient care, taking medical histories, conducting physical examinations, and assisting in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Participating in ward rounds, emergency duties, and maintaining patient records.

4. Arrange all required original certificates and their self-attested photocopies. This includes 10th class certificate (DOB proof), MBBS/MD/MS/DNB degree and mark sheets, valid Medical Registration Certificate (NMC/State Medical Council), Caste/EWS/PwD certificates (if applicable), experience certificates, publications, Aadhar Card, and NOC from current employer (if applicable).
5. Prepare a Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- (if applicable) in favor of "ESI Fund Account No. 1, payable at Mumbai". SC/ST, ESIC (Regular Employee), Female, Defense Ex-servicemen, & PH candidates are exempted from fee.
6. Attend the Walk-in Interview at the specified venue: Office of the Dean, 5th Floor, ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Central Road, MIDC, Opposite MIDC Police Station, Andheri (East), Mumbai – 400093.
7. Report between 09:30 AM to 10:30 AM on the respective interview date for your post (26, 27, or 28 October 2026).
8. Carry the duly filled application form, original documents, self-attested copies, and the Demand Draft (if applicable) for verification.
