Selection Process

The selection for SBI Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) involves a rigorous multi-phase process designed to identify the most suitable candidates. Aspirants must successfully clear each stage to be considered for final appointment.

• Phase 1: Preliminary Examination (Online Objective Test)
• Phase 2: Main Examination (Online Objective Test)
• Phase 3: Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT) for provisionally selected candidates who haven't studied the opted local language in 10th or 12th standard.

Important Points Regarding Exam Pattern:

• Negative Marking: For both Preliminary and Main exams, 1/4th of the mark assigned to a question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
• Sectional Timing: Each section in both exams has a separate time limit, which must be adhered to.
• Qualifying Marks: No minimum qualifying marks are prescribed for individual tests or aggregate scores in Prelims. For Mains, candidates need to score a minimum percentage on aggregate as decided by the Bank.
• Language of Exam: The online tests will be conducted in English and Hindi, along with the specified local language of the state applied for (where applicable).
• Merit List: The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination will not be added for final selection. Only the aggregate marks obtained in the Main Examination will be considered for the final merit list.
• Local Language Test: This test is qualifying in nature. Candidates failing to qualify will not be offered appointment.

• Cloze Test: Filling in blanks in a passage with appropriate words.
• Fillers: Single and double fillers to test vocabulary and grammar.

• Sentence Improvement: Replacing underlined parts of sentences with better alternatives.
• Para Jumbles: Rearranging jumbled sentences to form a coherent paragraph.
• Sentence Connectors: Joining sentences using appropriate connectors.
• Vocabulary: Synonyms, Antonyms, Idioms & Phrases.

• Simplification/Approximation: Quick calculation techniques.

• Static General Knowledge: Capitals & Currencies, National Parks & Wildlife Sanctuaries, Dams & Rivers, Important Days, Folk Dances, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Headquarters of International Organizations.
• Government Schemes: Recent and important government schemes related to finance and social welfare.

5. Computer Aptitude

• Basics of Computer: Hardware, Software, Operating System.
• MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint (basic functionalities, shortcuts).
• Internet & Networking: Types of networks, protocols, web browsers, search engines.
• Input/Output Devices: Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor, Printer, Scanner.
• Generations of Computer: Evolution of computers.
• Shortcuts & Abbreviations: Common computer shortcuts and full forms.
• Cyber Security: Basic concepts of viruses, malware, and data security.
