• The salary structure includes Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other benefits as per Gujarat Government norms.
• This is a promotion post, and the salary will be adjusted based on the existing pay and the new pay matrix level.

• Step 1: Written Examination (HTAT): Eligible candidates must appear for the Head Teacher Aptitude Test (HTAT), which is a single-stage written examination.
• Step 2: Merit List Preparation: The State Examination Board (SEB) will prepare a merit list of successful candidates based on their total marks obtained in the HTAT.
• Step 3: District/Municipal Requisition: The merit list will be prepared district/municipal body-wise, considering the number of vacancies requisitioned by the respective Education Committees.
• Step 4: Document Verification & Appointment: Candidates from the merit list will undergo document verification by the appointing authority, who will then issue promotion orders based on suitability and merit.
• Note: Merely achieving minimum qualifying marks does not guarantee promotion; it is strictly based on merit and available vacancies.

• All questions are Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ).
• Each question carries 1 mark.
• There is no negative marking.
• The medium of examination will be Gujarati, English, or Hindi, as specified in the question paper.
• Passing Standard: General category candidates need a minimum of 40% (60 marks). SC/ST candidates need a minimum of 35% (52.5 marks).

• Step 2: Navigate to Application: Click on "Apply Online" and then "Apply Now" for the HTAT Head Teacher promotion exam.
• Step 3: Fill Personal Details: Complete all mandatory personal details in the application form. Double-check critical information like name, date of birth, and category, as these cannot be corrected later.
• Step 4: Enter Educational Details: Provide all required educational qualifications and experience details accurately.
• Step 5: Save Application: Click "Save" to generate your unique Application Number. Note this down carefully for future reference.
• Step 6: Upload Photo & Signature: Use your Application Number and Date of Birth to upload your scanned photograph (5 cm height × 3.6 cm width) and signature (2.5 cm height × 7.5 cm width) in JPG format, each under 10 KB.
• Step 7: Confirm Application: Go to "Confirm Application," enter your Application Number and Date of Birth. Review your application using "Application Preview." Make any necessary corrections using "Edit Application" BEFORE confirming.
• Step 8: Final Confirmation: Click "Confirm Application" to receive your Confirmation Number. This number is crucial for all future correspondence.
• Step 9: Pay Application Fee: Proceed to "Print Application/Pay Fees" and select your preferred online payment mode (Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI, Wallet) to pay the exam fee between 11 August 2026 and 27 August 2026.
• Step 10: Print E-Receipt: After successful payment, an E-Receipt will be generated. Print and retain this receipt as proof of payment.
• Step 11: Download Hall Ticket: Only after successful fee payment and obtaining the E-Receipt can you download your Hall Ticket using your Confirmation Number and Date of Birth.
