- Successfully passed a minimum 1-year Multi-Purpose Health Worker basic course, or a certificate/diploma course, from a government-recognized educational institution; OR
- Passed a minimum 1-year Diploma Course in Sanitary Inspector from a government-recognized educational institution; OR
- Passed a minimum 1-year Health Sanitary Inspector course from an Industrial Training Institute or another government-recognized institution;
- AND Possess basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967;
- AND Possess adequate knowledge of Hindi or Gujarati, or both.

Selection Process
The selection process for GSSSB MPHS involves a single-stage objective MCQ-based competitive examination (CBRT/OMR) with two parts, followed by document verification for candidates who meet the qualifying standards.
- Objective Competitive Examination: Candidates will undergo a combined Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) or OMR-based examination.
