Salary

Selection Process
The selection for IGCAR Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026 is primarily merit-based, focusing on academic performance and subsequent verification stages.
- Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted for training based on the percentage of marks obtained in their ITI course.
- Tie-Breaking Rule (ITI Marks): In case of a tie in ITI marks, candidates with a higher percentage in their 10th/8th standard (8th class only for Welder, Carpenter/Woodwork Technician, Mason/Civil Mistry, Plumber trades) will be ranked higher.
- Tie-Breaking Rule (10th/8th Marks): If there's still a tie, the candidate who is older (born earlier) will be given preference.
- Document Verification (DV): All shortlisted candidates must appear for Document Verification. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of candidature. Candidates must bring original and self-attested photocopies of all required documents.
- Medical Test: Engagement is subject to qualifying the standard medical examination prescribed by the Competent Authority.
- Trade Test (Post-Training): After completing the one-year training, apprentices must undergo a Trade Test to assess their proficiency. Only upon passing this test will the National Apprenticeship Certificate be awarded.
