The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the SSC MTS Admit Card 2026 for the candidates who applied for the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2025. The Computer-Based Examination (CBT) is scheduled to be held from 04 February 2026 to 15 February 2026. Candidates can now download their SSC MTS Hall Ticket from the regional official websites or the main portal at ssc.gov.in using their login credentials.

Exam Overview

The SSC MTS 2026 Exam is one of the most competitive national-level exams conducted to recruit candidates for Group C non-gazetted and non-ministerial posts in various ministries, departments, and offices of the Government of India. For the Havaldar post, candidates additionally have to clear the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST).

  • Total Registered Candidates: Approximately 36.17 Lakhs.
  • Total Posts: 8,021 (MTS and Havaldar combined).
  • Exam Language: Available in 15 languages (Hindi, English, and 13 regional languages).
  • Negative Marking: 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer in Session-II.

Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme

The SSC MTS Computer Based Examination is divided into two mandatory sessions. Both sessions will be held on the same day. Session-I is qualifying in nature, while Session-II will be used for merit calculation.

  • Session-I: Numerical and Mathematical Ability (20 Qs) & Reasoning Ability and Problem Solving (20 Qs). Total 120 Marks. No Negative Marking.
  • Session-II: General Awareness (25 Qs) & English Language and Comprehension (25 Qs). Total 150 Marks. Negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.
  • Total Duration: 45 minutes for each session (60 minutes for candidates eligible for scribes).
  • Questions are of Objective Type (MCQs) only.

Admit Card Download & Instructions

Candidates must download their SSC MTS Hall Ticket 2026 at least 3-4 days before the exam to avoid last-minute server issues. The link is activated region-wise (NR, CR, WR, SR, etc.).

  • Visit the official website ssc.gov.in or your regional portal.
  • Click on the "Admit Card" tab.
  • Select the link for "Call Letter for Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar Examination, 2025".
  • Enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth.
  • Verify the Captcha and click on "Search" or "Download".
  • Print the admit card in Color or B/W and carry it along with an Original Photo ID Proof and two photographs.

Selection Process

The selection for the SSC MTS and Havaldar posts is based on a rigorous process ensuring only the best candidates are appointed for central government services.

  1. Computer Based Examination (CBT): Objective test consisting of two sessions.
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / PST: Only for candidates who applied for the Havaldar post.
