Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released Advertisement No. 42/2025 inviting online applications for 7279 Posts of Special School Teachers under the Education Department. Vacancies are for Class 1–5 and Class 6–8 levels with qualifications recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). Candidates must have passed BSSTET 2023 and hold valid CRR numbers. Qualification

  • For Class 1–5: 12th with minimum 50% marks, D.El.Ed. in Special Education (RCI approved), Valid CRR number, Passed BSSTET Paper-I
  • For Class 6–8: Graduate with minimum 50% marks, B.Ed. in Special Education (RCI approved), Valid CRR number, Passed BSSTET Paper-II
  • Note: SC/ST/BC/EBC and PwD candidates get 5% relaxation in minimum marks.

Salary

  • Salary is provisional and subject to Bihar Government pay rules.
  • No grade pay or allowances mentioned in the notification.
  • Service conditions may include probation and verification formalities before full pay scale is activated.
  • Employees will be entitled to salary revisions as per future government notifications.
  • Maximum age of retirement for these posts is 60 years.
  • Training during service may be eligible for paid leave (up to 6 months).

Selection Process

  • Selection will be based solely on Written Examination (Objective Type).
  • There is no interview stage for any of the posts.
  • Written exam will be MCQ-based with no negative marking.
  • Final merit list will be prepared based on total marks obtained in the written exam.
  • In case of tie in marks:
    • Class 1–5: Preference given based on Language marks → Age → Alphabetical name order.
    • Class 6–8: Preference given based on Chosen Subject marks → Language marks → Age → Alphabetical name order.
  • Document verification will be conducted after results are published.
  • All certificates must be valid as of the last application date (28 July 2025).

    • Mathematics & Science
    • Social Science
    • Hindi
    • Urdu
    • Sanskrit
    • English
  • Social Science paper has specific choices:
    • Section-I: Choose either History or Geography
    • Section-II: Based on Section-I choice, select from Economics or Political Science
  • Exam syllabus will be based on SCERT/NCERT curriculum relevant to the minimum qualification level.
  • No revaluation or rechecking of answer sheets will be permitted.
  • Final merit list will be prepared based on marks scored in non-qualifying sections only.

  • Upload live photo via webcam and clear Hindi & English signatures as per specifications.
  • Provide accurate category, disability type and preference details during profile creation.
  • Choose the relevant advertisement under “New Application” and proceed to fill the application form.
  • Attach all required documents and certificates through DigiLocker or manual upload.
  • Pay the applicable application fee online including biometric fee if Aadhaar is not provided.
  • Review all filled details carefully and submit the application form.
  • Download and print two copies of the submitted application form for future reference.
  • Ensure that the printed form contains Application ID and barcode on each page.
